We are a small working farm with sheep, cattle, poultry, kune kune pigs and donkeys. The farm is situated in the centre of the small village of Galphay and within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are situated in the heart of the village, opposite the village green, the other side of which is the village pub, serving evening meals at reasonable prices...

Our unique Bed and Breakfast guest accommodation, The Wheelhouse, is a newly converted ground floor wheelhouse, featuring exposed roof beams and its own independent access. The Wheelhouse is a large circular ground floor room featuring a King sized bed with feather and down duvet, two easy chairs, dining area where breakfast is served, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. The en- suite bathroom has a large double shower. It also has its own independent access in and out of the room itself. For families wishing to stay we have fold up beds suitable for children which The Wheelhouse can accommodate with ease. For breakfast we serve our own free range eggs. We endeavour to use local suppliers wherever possible for all other produce.

Otter Cottage is a newly converted single storey property featuring vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework and oak beams. Centrally heated throughout the cottage is set around a pretty courtyard garden with lawn areas and raised flower and vegetable beds. There is also a large south facing patio for guests' use, accessed from around the side of the property.

Ideally suited for couples, we also welcome small families. Otter has an open plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms to the property. The master bedroom is en-suite with a “P” shaped bath and shower. The second bedroom has full sized bunk beds.
You are welcome to wander around the farm at leisure, making friends with the animals and at lambing time help bottle feed the pet lambs.
 
From the village there are several popular walks through the countryside.The city of Ripon with its cathedral and racecourse is four and a half miles away. Other local attractions include Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, The Black Sheep and Theakstons Brewery at Masham to name a few. We are also within easy access of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Further afield are Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Leeds, Herriott country and the coast

Location and Area
Holme Grange Farm is an ideal base for your local holiday outings in the region with many interesting excursions available from Ripon. In each of the bedrooms there are numerous different leaflets located in the Literature Rack that we hope will appeal to most visitors' interests ranging from Steam Railways to Ghost Walks.

Ample secure parking at the farm.
