Holme Grange Farm Terms and Conditions

Booking

When making a booking you are entering into an agreement to the following terms and conditions. The person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set out within.

To secure a Bed and Breakfast booking in The Wheelhouse, or in Otter Cottage on a Bed and Breakfast basis, a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person per night is to be paid at the time of booking. The balance is due on departure.

To secure a self catering booking in Otter Cottage a non-refundable deposit of £50 per each week's stay is to be paid at the time of booking. The balance becomes due six weeks before the start of your stay. If the booking is made within the six week period the total amount is payable at the time of booking.

Deposits are either made by cheque to The Wheelhouse or bank transfer. Balances for Bed and Breakfast bookings can be paid by either of the above methods or in cash.

Deposit payments must be cleared funds before a booking can be classed as confirmed. Any cheques raised against us by our banks for handling dishonoured cheques or bank transfers must be reimbursed by the guest to the owner (Holme Grange Farm) within seven days of any request to do so.

Overseas Bookings

It is necessary for overseas guests paying by bank transfer to ensure their bank pay any charges at each end of the transaction. In the event of these charges being incurred to Holme Grange Farm the owner reserves the right to seek recompense to this amount.

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests do not honour this agreement or cause a disturbance/nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

Check In and Check Out

Check in time is from 3pm on the day of arrival

Check out time is by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Cancellations

It is suggested that guests take out appropriate holiday/cancellation insurance.

Guests who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. Monies already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions:

1. Cancellations made 15 days or more in advance of arrival date - full refund (less the deposit)
2. Cancellations made 14 days or less of arrival date - 50% refund (less the deposit)
3. Cancellations made 48 hours less of arrival date - no refund issued

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us please be aware we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

Damages and Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs.

Lost keys will incur a replacement charge/locksmith call out/bill.

Any lost property left behind by guests will be held for a period of 1 month. We accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belongings before checking out. If you suspect you have left an item behind it is the responsibility of the guest to contact the owner. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the guest.

Children

Children under 5 years of age are not permitted.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst in the accommodation or on and around the farm.

Pets

We do not accept dogs or any other pets of any description.

Parking

Where on site parking is provided, guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

Your Personal Details and Privacy

The registration form you complete on arrival will be kept for a minimum of 12 months in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
